Our big adventure

Between the 2nd and the 11th August, we're in Kandersteg Switzerland for a week packed full of activities amongst the swiss alps, at KISC, the permanent mini jamboree.

Here you will find a blog post for each of our days in country, alongside all of the photos we've taken so far, so come back at the end of each day for an update!

After a bit of a lie in and a cooked breakfast, we set off for Adelboden for a day of riding on ariel runways, working our way up the valley to come back down via a bridge jump!

An early start to make our way to the river Aare for a day of at times lazily, and at others rather more boisterously, rafting and tubing amongst the beautiful views of the mountains.

The scouts have climbed (in the rain!) and hiked back down the hill whilst it's the explorers turn to complete their service project. Then into the village for an entertainment evening.

Whilst the explorers spent their day rock climbing and making their way back down to camp centre, the scouts were on their way up, in some unbelievable weather!

With the explorers out on the hike and climb to the Ueschinenhutte (upper hut), the scouts were on their service project around the grounds of KISC.

Our first full day at KISC, with a gondola up to the 750m toboggan run, swimming in the lake and an walk back down the mountain for an international night at camp centre.
